[Kneading + Tapping] is a therapeutic action in which the massage chair provides a rhythmic tapping in conjunction with the firm kneading of your muscles. The combination of kneading + tapping, with 15 tapping actions occurring during each single kneading action, is a superb therapeutic technique that cannot be duplicated by human hands.
This technology has been developed through our more than 40 years of experience in massaging the shoulders of the Japanese nation and our dedication to the improvement of massage techniques. In response to our customers' pleas, "I badly need relief from my fatigue, which even remains until the next morning!" our massage chair products provide a powerful, tension-relieving massage through the use of 17 adjustable speed levels.

The massage chair uses shiatsu techniques to melt away stiff muscles, by applying deep pressure directly to sore spots, as is done with the thumbs in shiatsu therapy, then gently releasing. Blood circulation is also enhanced through simultaneous light, fast and delicate tapping action. The use of Marutaka's advanced, unique shiatsu + tapping massage technique, allows the massage chair to provide a combined massage action using both shiatsu and tapping, while moving over a treatment zone approximately 65 cm long.
A treatment zone can be selected from the following massage programs, in accordance with your own needs: automatic massage program, in which the massage chair provides a full back massage; local massage, in which you choose an area to be massaged, from the neck to the shoulders / upper body / lower back; and a local massage that focuses only upon a single sore spot.

Our kneading techniques are similar to the feeling you get from being rubbed rhythmically by strong human hands: professional techniques, such as the ultra slow-speed kneading action that provides deep tissue massage, taking you even to the brink of pain.
Our massage chair products utilize the 3- dimensional movements of the soft-touch massage rollers to demonstrate their relaxing effects, even deep within your muscles, relieving your fatigue and muscle tension. The continuous massage action, known as [Moving Massage], enhances your blood circulation by continually massaging along an area extending from your neck, down to your lower back, using an up-and-down motion. The [Fixed Massage] can be used to focus upon the area that is most sore.

The shiatsu massage action has been learned from the movements of the hands, wrists and arms of experienced shiatsu massage therapists. Furthermore, the utilization of flat massage rollers has enabled us to reproduce the flat surfaces of a massage therapist's thumbs. This shiatsu massage action stimulates the acupressure points located along the spine, from the neck to the lower back, melting away your tension and stress.
The particular massage action can be selected in accordance with your needs, either [Moving Shiatsu], which provides treatment by massaging every area of your back, or [Fixed Shiatsu], which focuses the shiatsu massage on the sore points and may cause you to scream: "There, there!!"

The tapping action is a traditional Japanese massage technique that acts as a foundation for basic massage therapy. Shoulder positions can be adjusted according to your body type and soft-touch tapping can be enjoyed.
[Fixed Tapping], which provides a sensation similar to that received by being tapped lightly with semi-closed hands, gives a rhythmic stimulation that enhances blood circulation. In addition, [Moving Tapping], which provides a sensation similar to being pounded firmly with the fists, conditions the muscle balance of your upper body. These techniques guarantee that you will feel completely refreshed!

The rolling massage action stretches the musculature surrounding your spine, from your upper neck area down to your tailbone, releasing all muscular tension. The width of the spacing between the massage rollers can be adjusted in accordance with your own size and build.

This massage action uses massage rollers to slowly compress, then stretch the large muscles along the sides of the spine, in which your fatigue tends to accumulate. Areas that you cannot easily reach and stretch by yourself can be readily and comfortably stretched using this action.
